Community Development Fund
The Moora Moora community have a long relationship of branching out and supporting the East Timorese village of Besilau. The most ambitious project undertaken is a scheme that has provided solar powered lighting to every household in the Besilau village, which is being supported by funds raised by the Moora Moora Community, which has a friendship relationship with the village. This was achieved with the help of the Alternative Technology Association. We are currently discussing a reforestation program in conjunction with installing little ovens in village huts for better cooking, cleaner air and less wood needed, so less emissions.
We undertake many fund raising activities from running cafes and progressive dinners to sellling coffee and hosting the Branches Music Festival
